For some reason, a lot of creaks and sounds have developed in my interior, specifcally my rear deck and the switch panel for the sunroof. I'm considering ripping out my interior this winter and getting interior work done. What could I do to make the interior crack and sound proofed?

I've dynamatted the rear deck, and it still rattles. Figured out it was the middle. There was nothing holding it down so I put some styrofoam inbetween the glass and deck. Now the styrofoam is squeakin against the glass! And the front over head switch is rattling.

Either you gotta tone down the bass or learn to live with it.. Cars squeak and rattle. Especially in the price bracket of our cars.

werd...they arent lexus' you'll never kill all the squeaks unless you want to spend mucho bucks and add lots of weight to the car.

I find our cars pretty quiet . Most of my rattles are outside and stereo related... I have a bit of an issue with the overhead pocket thing but a little DM stoped that.

I would say dynamat the little plastic overhead peice along with any plastic peice in the car. It will add weight to the peice and make it less likely to rattle. As far as the rear deck I would screw it down. If you plan where to put the screws and use screw caps it will look just fine and work awsome. I had to do that to a honda and it has never sounded so good after doing so. Peace, Lee

my entire interior is taken out, carpet gone and dynomat is process.
the only way i found to get the creek of the rear deck was to stuff as much styrofoam inbetween the deck and the piece on top of the deck. i had old shirts and styrofaom in there and worked pretty well, or u could just take the rear deck piece off and eliminate it all together and the bass can escape through there which i like

Carpet padding works wonders too...sounds ghetto but many people use it and it works

Um, I DID make a sticky on the subject, if your car isn't all put together again yet....

I guess there are a lot of them, but do read it - it'll help, I promise!!
