Hey, was wonderin if anyone has heard anything bad about the hifonics 1500 amp. any feedback is goooood. thanx

I haven't heard much from Hifonics lately but I know a few years back when they had the amps named after the mythical Gods they were very good. You always seen a few of them at comps. I wouldn't imagine they went down hill, I think they just leveled out kinda like Rockford did. If you can get it for a good price I would say go for it. Peace, Lee

New ownership, not even VAGUELY related to the HiFonics of old. Not BAD per se, but another Me Too brought to you by the companies that have also bought up SoundStream, Alphasonic, and other oldies but goodies. Anyway, you can get the same amps under about 5 names now. :(

hifonics was either bought out by maxsonics or they changed their name.....crunch is also made by this company.

After reading up a little on the new crop, it looks like they're very not bad, actually. I might hafta play with them a bit.... ;)

i have talked with many pepole that have used the bx1500d and they are all very pleased. cant beat it for the price. i personally have used the hifonics zeus series (zx6400) and i am sooo damn ****ed i sold it for my autotek amps. i loved that damn amp.

yeah i have a zeues now...i lost a channel about 1-2yrs ago..just payed the shipping and they fixed its...i have had it for 3+ yrs i bet...im happy with it

Check out the reviews on www.carreview.com. I believe the Hifonics are getting pretty good feedback.

Had a Zeus amp (600 Watts) and it was a great amp. This was about 8 years ago and back then there was nothing but positive feedback on those amps. I would be bettin' they are still all that.. go for it.

I have a pair of Hifonics 1500's on the way.
I've heard nothing but great things about them....and the price $300 for 1500watts :)

you all know crunch(which everyone seems to hate) and hifonics are made by the same company right? a lot of the amps have the same internals.

Mitek. Good company, though I did like Xtant better as a stand alone. :shrug:
Hifonics is the top line of maxxsonics amps. I'm running a Bx1500D and a Zx6400 and to be quite honest, they do way better than lots of other things I've seen. I also heard they were bought out and aren't as good anymore, however, they still do really good even if it isn't as good as 'back in the day.' Everything was good 'back in the day' if you noticed.
