I dunno about anybody else, but I'm still waiting to see some 4-door pics. Even something like that second pic (way back on page 1), where I could get an idea of how it would look. I know its too late by far to get in on the pre-order, but it will take time for me to save up that kind of money. I'm willing to pay extra from something I really like... and I really like how this kit looks on the 2-doors. I've already started saving, but I like to see what I'm buying first.

The four door kit's coming out after the two door so they probably don't have any pics yet. It's probably still in the mock up stage. It should be pretty much the same as the two door though. Slightly different rockers and two shorter door pieces instead of one long one (hence the price difference). Bumpers will be the same.

Alright boys and girls……………Here we go one more time……and the last time………..I have been in negotiation with RKSport for the last week and have got us a solid commitment on the last extension that there ever will be for the body kits. I have been given one more MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have been impressed with the sales and this is what we have been trying to do………show them there is an interest in aftermarket GA parts and damn did we show them. The only absolute way that you will be able to get in on it now is you MUST run your order through me.

This is a painless process and I take care of all the leg work for you, just ask manogagt from Grand Am Owners Club and he will tell you that I will get you taken care of !!!!! He had run into some accounting errors at RK and I took care of him and fixed his prob.

But anyways………one more month is what I have for everyone just PM me and I will get you set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought you had the actual photos? You don't even know what the actual 4 door kit looks like. Look at the GXP and look at the RK Sport 2 door kit. You will see the differences.

I did a search on the internet for gxp concept & yes that is what the charcoal colored car is but the body kit is very similar to just get an idea of what the rksport kit might look like on a 4 door

1.) how far does the front end stick out from the hood??? the front and back are just covers , not actual replacements for the stock facias

thanks :rolleyes: .....any body kit you ever get are bumper covers. That's what a fascia is, a bumper cover. The bumper is inside.

Which made no sense in either of our minds.

Correct, the "bumper" is actually behind the cover. Correct term is "fascia". The new front fascia looks a little longer and more angled (sorta reminiscent of a '96 camaro IMO) so it probably sticks out farther than the stock one. Also, the kit doesn't come with any mesh, they just put that in there on the show car. You can put in anything you want or leave it empty. Shipping should start in about two weeks, and I was one of the first to order one, so I'll let you guys know how it looks when I get mine.:thumbs:

Alright, because of the communication error with RK I have spoke to the higher ups and I can get you taken care of on the hood, spoiler or two door kit at the pre-buy price but just until Friday morning. Mano yours will not be shipping for a little bit, they are still waiting on the panels.........also they ship in order of your order.....for example one person is sixth in line for a hood and they are average two hoods a week just to let you know.

They will take very little prep work at all, they have done extensive work on the kits and they are the best fitting that have EVER been produced, all that is necessary for the most part is getting it ready for paint!

They can make an entire kit in four hours, poly sets up really quick, within ten minutes in the mold they are popped out and they set out for final curring!!!!

PS.... as of today 2 hoods and 2 spoilers have shipped, they can make 2 hoods per week and 3 spoilers per week.

There have been a total of 16 each of the two and four doors kits sold and 7 hoods and 6 spoilers to date...most coming from this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbs:

I think if GA's came with rksport bodykits stock, no one would be buying aftermarket body kits for their cars because this is the best looking thing for this car BY FAR, and way better than stock.:thumbs:

I just called rksport and talked to my sales guy. He said all the final fitments for the kits are done and they're just waiting for them to get in from their factory so they can start shipping. Not sure what they cost but when I was up there yesterday the sales manager said they did material studies and it looks as if they are going to offer all of their hoods with a Carbon Fiber option. So I would say "YES!"

I got the kit. THe only prob. the back bumper is warped a bit. :-( ANd I threw a rod in my engine, so it'll be sometime before i get it on :-( If anyone can give me a heads up on where i can get my hands on a 3.5L. let me know.

That's normal with the bumper. Mine's like that too, the sides are bent inward slightly. They do that so when you put it on the car it fits tight to the sides without any bulges. It's not a problem since the material's so flexible.


As for the engine what are you taling about 3.5L?:wtf And are you sure you threw a rod? I'd be sure before I started looking for a new engine.

I have to take out my engine and find out exactly, I am almost positive it was a rod. I want to get the chevy malibu 3.5L engine in my car sometime in the future, and since I wont be able to drive my car for awhile, I was hoping if anyone had any incite on this. Sorry to be off topic.

Update on 4-door RK kit. I called and talked to Mike this morning. He said that they are having a problem with some of the door panels not fitting properly and they don't want to start shipping until they get the problem worked out. He said it could be as long as a month, but for me to keep checking back, if could change.

I was supposed to have mine in by the April 10th ImportLifeTour.com event. Yet they pushed it back so it will not be done on time.

You guys have to remember, they did the 2dr kit first. And that was pushed back quite a bit too. For the 4dr they needed to find another car for fitting, then they had to make, test, and perfect 6 new molds for that car. This really shouldn't be unexpected.

I can understand that some of you are upset with not having your kits before "X" show or date. But as stated above they will not produce "crap". If you only knew how long it takes to make a mold and then lay up the one part only to find out it's a 16th of an inch off here or there and then have to re-do the mold, then lay up a new part, let it cure and start over fitting it up. It takes days not hours to do. Be patient with them as they are also doing three other cars as this is being posted. The new GTO, and two others that I cannot mention.

I can tell you it will look just as sweet as the two door!

Good news guys, just got off the Phone with Mike. The final fitment will happen today and should start shipping out next week. So it looks like they have everything worked out.

Well i wan't to get excited that it's gonna be sent out soon but, every time i do they set it back another week. So if that's a true statement then that's Awesom. I might be able to get my kit on and painted before my first show of the year. Everybody that care's about the kit coming out cross your finger's (or pray for, if that's your thing) that this is the last set back. Later yall

I was told the kit should be ready at the end of this month. I was also told that a lot of people droped there sells for the 4-door kit since they did not want to wait. I hope it will be done soon since I have set up an appointment for the paint work.
