I need an alternator that is juiced up! I already put another stock one on and i think its gonna fail before too long. Does anyone know where to get a better alternator, and about how much $ they run. I'm sick of the bass cutting out, and the lights dimming:rage: ! PLEASE HELP:(

I have plans on getting an optima, but i dont know if i should get the alt. first or the bat.

I suggest Ohio Generator. They build one hell of an altenator that has plenty of juice and they have clean power. The last time I looked I was going to get a 250 amp one for around $500 I think. I looked into stinger altenators and they were about double the price for the same aperage. Check with your local shops to see what they offer though. Peace, Lee

you can always get your stock alternator rewound at a local shop to put out a little more then it does now. this route is only effective if you need to go up about 20 amps or so and are low on cash

Please do a search, this has been covered numerous times. Ohio is awesome, I also know many people who've had great luck with Mr. Alternator (mralternator.com).

It might be marked on the alt as to what its factory rating is. As far as how big you need, add up all the fuses on your amps and let me know. Also do you plan on an upgrade to any of your equipment? Lee
