East side convoy to MGM4?

Well, I know i'm going. Anyone want to make a lil convoy to MGM, make this a memorable moment or something? lol Nothin like 10-15 GA's rollin on the freeway. Lets hear some suggestions!

Just a suggestion, meet up at the Novi Town Center or Novi Mall(12 Oaks) or Denny's, its on 696 just past I275 right on the way towards Stanton. This way no one is backtracking or going out of the way, its a long enough trip already. Just a thought!

Just an FYI guys, for us eastsiders lansing is way out of the way. Stanton is about half way between lansing and midland. Fastest way to get there is up I-75 then west to stanton. That's the way I took last year. I can pick you up Jeff, and Matt and any other sterling hts people could convoy with us. If any of the canton/livonia area people wanted to meet up with us we could meet at great lakes crossing since it's practically on I-75. Just an idea.

So we're taking i-75 all the way there now? I'm kinda interested in meeting with the Lansing crew. I hated driving there last time by myself. It was horrible. Twelve Oaks is right off i-96 West. ST. Heights people, just take 696 west and continue west onto 96 towards Lansing. i'll be waiting at the Denny's at 6 o clock. If we wanna make it up to Lansing, we gotta meet up with them by 7:25 ish so lets plan on rollin out by 6:30 a.m. Denny's is off of 12 mile road exit, on the right hand side.

EDIT: NEVERMIND. I just read Kevin's post on the Lansing convoy lol. Meet at Kevin's house in Canton!

Its best we leave as soon as possible to avoid any traffic on the i96/275/696 exchange. Its horrible there almost anytime of the day. Plus lets beat the Lansing crew to Holiday Inn lol

We are pullin out of the parkin lot at 7:30 apx. so i reccommend that you roll in aroun 7:15 just to be safe.

5:45/6:00 a.m.Me, Alex and his friend are meeting at Kevin's house

6:00 a.m. Leaving for Twelve Oaks Mall/Denny's parking lot.

6:15 a.m. Meet w/ Sterling Heights guys

6:30 a.m. Leaving for Lansing, SHARP.

7:15-7:30 a.m. meet up with Lansing convoy.

Channel #6 on FRS two-way for the convoy, turn em on when you get close to Denny's

LANSING is NOT out of the way to Stanton..... If you are coming from Canton take I-96 and you go right past us!! If taking I-75 to I-69 you will be going past us again...... If you go back roads you up to Midland and then over.

Just thought I would clarify for those that have not looked at a map and thought they were going to get hosed!! You will be fine and we will see ya'll Saturday.... :thumbs:

Actually, for us EAST-SIDERS (meaning people from the east side of the state directly north of detroit like me and the sterling heights people) lansing is in fact the longer route to take. Maybe for the canton area people it's not too bad since they are so close to 696 and 96. The shortest way for me is to take 75 north to saginaw then take M46 west. I don't want to wake up any ealier than I have to so I'll take that route. See you guys in Stanton.;)
