alright, this just started to happen in my car about a week ago, whenever i play music in my car, it just starts to fade in and out, and i have no clue why. no matter what volume it is at it always seems to start out at a softer volume and then constantly it gets louder. any help would be appreciated.

its cause it has a setting on it so that if you have your windows open the radio becomes louder as the outside noise gets louder, it will soften as you come to a stop, were less noise is present...

actually if your talking about your factory radio its the radio mine did that then the next month the radio wouldn't even work. the gm mechanics couldn't figure it out. they think the radio was getting to hot and it melted stuff. so i just went and bought an alpine cd player no problems now..

If it is the stock headunit there is a button that controls that. I forget what it is. I had that on mine. As the car gets faster the louder the music gets. I would check the manual, cause I forget what the button it was, and if I recall its only with the monsoon system. not def tho.

Yup. It can be turned off. And it is a singularly useless feature, lol.
