Here's a question for the masses. I'm building a custom supercharger setup for my 99GT. I'm using a 1st Gen. Eaton M-90 charger, with an extended drive arm.
What type of other mods should I consider when adding this setup?
I'm getting a BOV definately.
What else is there to add? Vaccum line setup.. etc...
Thanks!

Well, an M-90 is an awfully big blower isn't it? Hope you can fit it in there. I would get a different supercharger if I was you. You can find them at usedsuperchargers (www.usedsuperchargers.com) or buy new units from the manufacturers (there are links on that page). I like the procharger units. They are very quiet, efficient, and reliable because they use a belt/cog drive and are internally lubricated (no oil lines needed). They are also fairly compact, which leaves you lots of room for intake and intercooler piping. An intercooler would be great 'cause these blowers can easily make 8-12psi with the right pulley.
If you really want to use the eaton blower, you'll basically have to do what they did with the magnacharger kit. First, you'll need a boost dependant rising rate fuel pressure regulator, and a way to attach it to the fuel rail. Then your going to have to get rid of a bunch of coolant hardlines and replace them with rubber lines, and move some of the other coolant lines. This makes room for the belt and the blower. You'll need some kind of bracket to mount it on the engine, and make sure it's lined up properly. The manifold will be under pressure, so you have to remove all the vaccum lines and block off the EGR port. You'll need to re-route the EGR tube, both valve cover breathers, the brake booster, and the EVAP solenoid vacuum tube to the intake side of the blower. The MAP sensor and the FPR must remain connected to the manifold. Cap all the other holes. You also need to move the IAT sensor to the blowers outlet side. As you can see it's certainly not an easy process, but it can be done.
Anyone think of anything else I missed?

Yeah, WTF is the BOV for??? I'm not sure we need one, or there would be a necessity for one.
my $0.02..sounds like a pain in the a$$....buy the RSM or forget it, this is screaming trouble. And when your done, what are you going to do with the internals and tranny under all that extra boost compared to the SC's out now??

1st gen blower??? That would be bad, and you would have problems with it, just because of the age (unless its been rebuilt), thats why E/M is on the Gen 5 M90 right now. To get all the fabbed peices to bolt it up will be a quite a bit of money, but it would be cool see, good luck with what you do.
