Clarification on 8.5" Wide Wheels

I have searched... and have run across tid-bits of info concerning wheel widths; but, I would like to know if anyone has 18x8.5 wheels installed on their car without any rubbing in the front.

If you do have 18x8.5, what size tires are you running on it?

For me I want to get the widest rims that I can for my car.

Car: 2000 GAGT, EIBACH PRO KIT

18x8.5: no problems up front; i HAD to run stick-on weights in the back cuz the clip-on weights hit the strut.
