I'll be down in Miami from Dec 11-16, and i was just wondering if anyone lived around there. I'll be stayin at the Clevelander, and the only day that i really have concrete plans (that i know of) is Monday night...got tickets to the Eagles/Dolphins game ;)

I live in orlando..but my ga is going to be gone soon enough...it' sonly about 6 hours from o-town to miami...so i dunno what oyu got planned but maybe a lil mini meet somewhere..

thanks :) and it doesn't matter what kinda car you drive....i've never been to miami before, and most of my friends that are going have their bf/gf coming along, so i don't wanna follow them around all weekend...just wanted to see if there was anyone in the area :)

Nice hotel location also. The Clevelander is right in the heart of South Beach and has a very big outdoor bar overlooking A1A. 'Not sure what the rooms are like, but you'll be within walking distance of all the popular hot spots. :thumbs: I once stayed at another old art-deco hotel nearby, the "Chesterfield," a few years back when a college friend of mine from Ohio came down to visit. It was old, yet different and clean.

WooHoo! Hey Erika, I'm going to be in Miami beach on the 12th and 13th too. I'm going down for the hot import nights show on saturday night at the miami beach convention center. Then I'm going up to St. Petersburg for a friends wedding the next saturday. I'll be getting there friday night and just chillin' all day saturday before the show. actually, speaking of money..i just found out that my coach has about 5 or so extra tickets to the game on monday...not sure where the seats are, but i don't think it matters much. tix are $200 each, keep in mind how hard to get they are. just let me know if anyone reeeeeally wants to go to the game. i believe he put them on ebay as well...

LOL! Yeah, "free" is a foreign word in South Beach. Come up to Fort Liquordale on Friday and I can show you a great club with free (and strong) drinks from 10-11:30 and free admission. ;)

Yeah, so what did you do the days before the football game? Did you tear up South Beach? ;) This place can be addictive. I'm just glad I was fortunate to wind up here. I love my home state of Ohio, but I feel at home in the south-Florida sun. :cool: It must be cold for you back in Philly; a cold front is just coming through and it's actually going to be 40-something degrees in the morning way down here (very rare)!? :eek: That would probably feel like a heat wave to everyone up there; LOL!...

i drank....a lot...haha. actually, i stayed at the hotel (the clevelander) for a good portion of the weekend. it was always packed, even at like 1 in the afternoon haha. and their Quesadilla's friggin RULED!!! haha. went to Mango for a little on Friday afternoon for some dacquiris (spanish girls dancin on the bar was fun), Fat Tuesdays for a little (damn 190 Octane hurt my brain), Delano (spelling) was friggin awesome.....very classy, Nikki Beach was a great time, Opium and Crobar had lines out the wazoo every time we attempted to go there. ummmm....i think that may have been all the clubs/bars i went to. AaronGTR came down and he and i went to the Hot Import NIghts show at the Convention Center on Saturday night. i went on the beach a few days :D (that was nice...callin my mom on saturday while she was shoveling and i was sittin on the beach)

and now i feel like i'm catchin a cold, jumping into 40-degree weather (and a little snow last night) after being in mid-70-degree weather all weekend. sunday it poured from like 1-6, but we just sat outside by the pool and drank ;) definitely the best time i've ever had....wish i coulda stayed another week. and john, i didn't realize how close "Ft. Liquordale" was, a friend of mine was stayin with friends up there so i could hopped a ride with him...oh well, maybe next time ;)

Sounds like you hit all the best spots, or at least attempted to. ;) I take it you never got into Crobar (?). I (pathetically) have yet to check that place out myself. I was going to, the last night I went down there, until I found out it was Gay Night; LOL! Oh well, I'll get there one of these days. :rolleyes: BTW, please tell me you had a drink at Wet Willie's. If not, you have to check that place out next time. Their drinks are even stronger than Fat Tuesday's! :D

haha, yeah sunday night was the only night that Crobar didn't have a line, and my guy friends were all like "yeah let's go there"....then the cabbie was nice enough to tell us it was gay night hahahaha *whew* and no :( i didn' thave a drink at wet willies...walked by the damn place like 30 times tho. i guess this just means that i have to go back down there to hit up all the places i missed ;)
