Santa Barbara GA Meet Jan 10 - 11th

We will be having a meet and BBQ at Arroyo Burro Beach in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area on Jan 10 - 11th. There should be ample parking there and if we can get people to show up early enough we can mark off some space for the meet.

Here is a brief description of the park and it's amenities and location information:

Park Features: BBQ Grills, Beach Access, Benches or Picnic Tables, Bird Watching, Equestrian Trails, Fishing, Group Picnic Areas, Restaurant or Snacks, Restrooms, Surfing, Swimming.

Location: Arroyo Burro Beach County Park is located 5 miles west of Santa Barbara's city center on Cliff Drive near Hope Ranch. From Highway 101 take Las Positas Road south to Cliff Drive. Turn right and travel 1/2 mile to the park entrance.

Entrance Fee: Free to the public

As of right now we have no sponsors in this meet but are hoping someone around here could get us some. Here is a list of hotels in the area. I was thinking about the Quality Inn in Santa Barbara for a group or the Ramada probably. Input is welcome. If we decide early we can try to all get into the same hotel.

You're looking at a good 8+ hour drive. It's about 4-5 from where I am normally to Vegas and SB is about 3 hours from me.

Me n Deek will be there in January.

The 2.4 is going to be under good behavior, ie: NO RACING TILL FEBRUARY! Certain things are happening that must be attended to. We'll be there and I'll be doing the bench racing.

You forgot to mention that it was only a 4 hour drive when you left in the middle of the nite and showed up at my place at like 5 in the morning you wick...

Not to mention, the meet is in SANTA BARBARA poontang! Which is like 3 hours from San Diego!

Dang it! I was in Goleta visiting my aunt and uncle the 19th-21st (this last weekend), to bad I couldn't go later. However on my way down I saw 4 GAGTs all driving together on Hwy 101 (all were 2004s except 1 was a white 99-03) too bad they were going the opposite way. Then a little down the road I saw 2 more next to each other. (Also 99-03 GTs and also going the other way) The first thing I thought was maybe there is some west coast meet.

The cheaper hotels are outside of Santa Barbara. Me and my wife got a room for $65 in Buellton. Go to Travelocity.com for low rates.

Buellton is about 20 minutes or so outside Santa Barbara. There are several hotels there.
