Has anyone tried or knows if the blue set will work on our cars. It says only red will work but I swear I remember someone saying before that the blue set works on the old forum. I just want to know before I but a set. By the way for those who dont know what they are go to APOC.

I've herd of them using blue but you had to do somthing to the needles. I think you can scrape the orange/red off the back of the needles and then it will work.
not sure though, havent really messed with it.

I have the intelliglow needles in red. Any color will work; they suggest red because the GA guages are red. You have to scrape or sand the orange color off the stock needles and paint the back of the needles white to reflect the light throughout the needle.

The install is not very easy. You have to remove the guage faces, so if you're thinking about white face guages, that's the perfect time to do it. The kit consists of small vinyl (carbon fiber pattern) rings where the LED is attached connected by thin, threadlike, copper wires. The hardest part is handling and routing the copper wires because they are so thin and delicate.
The first thing you have to do is remove the orange paint from the stock needles (sandpaper, scraping, etc.) and paint the backs white. This helps transmit the light to the end of the needle.
When you have the guage cluster apart w/o the face and needles, just stick the light rings over the parts where the needles install. Then route the wires along the gauge cluster, reinstall the guage face and needles and your done. Obviously you have to make sure the needles are placed correctly. There's only 2 wires to connect to the electrical system: the ground and the power which can be connected to the parking light fuse so the needles light up when you turn on the lights. Or you could connect it to the accessory so they turn on when the car is on.
It sounds worse than it is. When you have the guages apart and you see how they're designed it's not that bad. Just handle the wires carefully. Hope that helps.

The install takes about an hour and a half. The carbon fiber vinyl is where the LED is attached. It's cut into a ring shape so that you can stick it over the needle stud to the guage cluster.
