I think this is the best room to put this in...
Anyway, I have a Master Mechanics 200-some piece tool kit which is made by the same people who make craftsman. Lifetime warrenty and all. I really like them, they are very good tools and everything is polished. Most of the stuff I add to my collection though are Craftsman, althought I would really like to have a Snap-On comfort grip ratchet. :)
What does everyone here use?

Craftsman, Thorsen (sp), Stanley, Husky are all good. Snap-on is good too, but you have to wait from the damn truck to come around...

#1 prefered is Craftsman. They just have been in the business too long and have the lifetime warranty. I've never had anything Craftsman break on me.

Craftsman & husky mostly in my toolbox. lately all the new tools have been craftsman, becuase when we go looking for the correct item at lowes and home depot, they NEVER have it, but sears always does.

Craftsman, since I get them much cheaper. But I can never get on the Matco truck and make it out without spending money. So my Matco collection is rapidly growing. That bastard with all those fun tools!

I have junk tools, and not enough of them. It sucks trying to make due with what you have. From now on I'm gonna buy Craftsman, just cuz their warranty kicks some major tail, and Sears is pretty close, so getting and replacing tools will be cake.

I figured I'd post this while we're talking about it. It's basically overflowing at the moment (except for the bottom drawer, which is reserved for the Dremel and snacks), but I can't afford to put a box on top until after Christmas. The great thing about working at Sears Auto Center is that I get crazy discounts on tools, including the store Intranet that just takes it right out of my paycheck with no tax, no interest, and about 25-30% off the regular price. If I had it to do again though, I'd buy the 40" wide box from the start. Torque wrenches, some breaker bars, pry bars, etc. don't fit sideways in this one. Oh well, at least it's the ball bearing drawers...the only way to go.

it all depends on what you want to do with your tools. Snap-on very good body tools, i have about $5,000 in their body tools, and they are great.

Craftsman. I have a huge collection at home, and quite a few more for work, although there I use alot of Starret stuff because its more for precision measurements. Its just great that when anything breaks or you fubar a tool up by yourself, just take it in and get a new one for free!! I have a non-functional 1/4" ratchet right now that I need to trade in.

I have mostly Craftsman tools. I've used the lifetime guarantee a couple of times. I broke my 3/8" rachet a couple years ago and also my 1/2" click torque broke. I just brought them in and walked out with new stuff. I love getting new tools. I think I'm getting some for Christmas in fact. :D

The rest of my tools are Mastercraft from Canadian Tire. They're not quite the quality of Craftsman, but they also have a lifetime guarantee.

I didn't know about the rusted tools though. My 96 piece socket set got left in the rain about a year ago. Maybe I should bring that in....

Sad part is, all of the drawers are full! If I get anymore tools, I'm gonna have to get another drawer set... Ok, so maybe that's not a bad thing. ;)

I buy any tools that are life time warranty. I have an assortment of many kinds but only lifetime warranty companys. I buy tools when i need them. If i dont have it then i go to the store and buy what i need but i look for lifetime warranty only.

Most of my stuff is Husky. They have the lifetime warranty and Home Depot is just up the road. I have also heard that you can exchange a broken Crastman tool in for a New Husky one. Don't know how true that is (I've never had to test it), but that sounds impressive.

SNAP-ON all the way. about 10 grand in tools. just bought my top box today. plus the snap on guy comes to my work every week and if something is not right they will take care of you. I baught a tool and kept it for a year and then I asked the guy if he would exchange it and not a problem. That is what kind of service you get with your own snap-on dealer. sears doesn't come close. plus if you ask sears a question 1/2 the time they don't know. That is why American Choppers built a snap-on bike.
