Trunk lock-out

I was wondering if any of the the other 2004 GA owners here know if there is a lock-out switch for the interior trunk release. On my 2001 GA, there was a switch on the trunk latch which could be used to lock-out the interior trunk release. I haven't found a similar switch on my 2004. I've read the manual, and done a search on here, but there is no info. If there is no lock-out switch, can I somehow disable or disconnect the interior trunk release?



Also, I would like to get my crappy side view mirrors painted white to match my car. If I take them in to be painted, would I have to drive around for a while without sideviews? How long does a good paint job take?

The trunk lockout was another cutback that GM made for the 04 Grand Am's so your car wouldnt have it.

wow, the kinds of things they cut back on these days. And good question, why the hell do they retail the same, if not more?

take off your driver side door panel and disconnect the reelease button, theres removal instructions in the audio section.
