Just today I've read a number of threads where people say you don't need jackstands, just use the jack and don't move the car much. That is putting yourself on the fast track to a really bad day! I think someone should place a sticky on every forum addressing this issue. Too many people are killed because their jack gives out and the car crushes them. It doesn't take more than 30 seconds to place jackstands! They're cheap to buy as well. I just dont understand why people don't use them.
I really, REALLY don't want to see anyone on these forums get hurt because they were stupid or careless and didn't use stands.

You have a good point....But I don't need a stickey at the top of EVERY forum to tell me not to stick a torch up my ass to know it would hurt....... so I don't need one to tell me to use jackstands......:) Just a point. Don't mean to be a smart ass.

Very true. I just thought it wouldnt hurt if there was a sticky, perhaps in the newb forum and maybe the performance forum just as a reminder and a note to new people to not be stupid. As I'm sure all of you know, people do stupid things.
