clean or replace?

Ok i have that custom civic CAI from n-body.net.....i wanna clean it since I look and looks a bit dirty......Should I clean it or get a new one? New ones are $30. If i do clean it......how do u guys get around cleaning it.....I dont think soapy warm water helps in this situation....:(

depends what kind of filter you have. If it's something like a reusable K&N filter, you buy the recharge kit and follow the instructions. If it is a crappy paper one, your best bet is to throw it out and get a K&N.

k&n recharger kit costs around 12-15 bucks. i would recommend that. if u have some stupid "apc" cone or "intimidator" filter, best bet like jagey said, get a k&n and throw the old one as far as possible.
