installed my whiteface gauges on my own....everything's fine other than i miscalibrated my thermostat to read one or two hash marks higher than what it really is which really wasn't worth taking the dash apart again (had to do it twice because when i tested everything out it looked fine, then i put everything back together and drove around the block to notice my thermostat, speedometer, and fuel was way off what it should be)...anyway, i'm driving around for a week or two thinking i'm cool with my gauges and i turn down my street which is sort of a steep hill to notice my RMP gauge sort of stuck.....it'll stay in one spot and then just twitch up and down....i'm thinking damn, this sucks but i'll mess with it later. i get back in my car the next day to find it working out just fine. well after more time goes by i realize this is an occuring problem that seems to happen when the car's in certain areas such as always on the top of my street but never at the bottom....the short highway i take to work and a few other places that i notice it happens. but when i turn the car off and restart the gauge is always fine till i get in another area. i'm just curious if i messed it up permanately and this is something i'll have to live with or maybe i put the needle on too tight or loose and should take everything apart to move the needle? any thoughts or stories would be helpful.
