I was wondering if anyone has any info on this unit. I saw a mention in the Feb 04 Popular Mechanics - page 77. I went to the web site but could not find a price. The closest dealer is 130 miles as the crow flies from my town.

Not available for any Pontiac. They cater to big trucks and luxury vehicles like Cadillac, Hummer, etc.

It sounded like a great idea since I can't get a remote starter for my manual 5 speed. The car has to be in reverse to remove the key.

The unit is a boiler that runs on gas and can be programed to run for up to a hour. It also turns the fan on to defrost the windows and warm the cabin while you wait inside sipping your International coffee. It also has a remote control option so you can hit the button after you awaken and before you jump into the shower. They do not sell the unit to just anybody, you have to go somewhere and have it installed. The typical installed price is between $1500 and $1800!

Anybody for a group buy???
