What up people! Awesome forum you guys have here, very informative.

Ok, here's my problem:

I had a massive shake in my car when driving above 55mph, in the steering wheel and in the rear. I found that I had 2 cracked rimz in the rear and they were repaired. Now, the steering wheel just has a bad shimmy. I HIGHLY doubt I cracked the front wheels also. I even had them balanced and aligned, but didn't help. What else could couse a steering wheel to shimmy at 55mph besides alignment, balace, and cracked rimz?

Thanks guys.

Bad tire. They don't have to look bad, or even sound bad, to exhibit shake at highway speed.

When i was experiencing alot of mud,(raining on gravel, dirt roads... yeah smallville) and i took my car to wash, the mud on the underside of the rim was real tough to get out... as soon as i left the carwash it would shake badly around that speed, was a problem in my old car too, i'd have to make sure the whole inside of the rim was clean, very little mud can cause shimmy
