New to the boards and the GTs.

First I wanted to say hey to everyone.

Well, the car I currently own is a piece. I love it but it breaks down alot and with the money finally rolling in and stable Ima buy a new vehicle. I have finally decided I want this white 1999 Grand Am GT from some dealer. He wants 6000. I'm trying to find out everything I possibly can about the thing. These forums are awesome, I love you people!

However I do got some questions:

1. is 6000 an ok deal? I was thinking of asking if he'd go 5500

2. How much horse power does a stock 3.4 V6 pump out.

3. What turned you guys on to the GTs?

1. Without looking a NADA, $6k sounds pretty good for a '99. What is the mileage?

2. 175hp

3. Everyone has a different reason for this. Most will say decent power for the price, or they likes the styling. A lot of people here are on their second GA, too.

I have found the majority of people with GAGT's or any GA for that matter really like them, and like Kubi said, alot of people are on there second GA.
