Someone on here has a amperage gauge built into their car in the little cubby where some of us have a cassette player.......I want to pick an amperage gauge up, but I cannot find any place that sells them......anyone help me out??

are voltage gauges and amperage gauges the same thing?

2 completely different things
hooking up an amparage gauge is alot more complicated then just a simple volt gauge

What would you be measuring the amperage of? If you want it set up as a drain/charge type of gauge it could get kind of hairy.

Amperage gauges measure current and need to be placed in series with the load. Volt gauges measure voltage and should be placed in parallel or across the load, battery, etc.

The gauges are from Datel. They have different sizes, colors, so get what you want, but here's what I have installed..

www.datel.com, go to digital panel meters, I have 3 1/2 display ones.

DMS-20PC-2-BS - Blue voltmeter #8077004
DCA5-20PC-1-DC4-BS - Blue ammeter #8078775
100A 100MV Shunt for ammeter (required) #1734120

Get the accessory board for the voltmeter!! Made it very easy to hook up (4 wires). Also you'll need the 12 volt -> 5 volt dc/dc converter to power the voltmeter. The ammeter will run off 12 volts. any questions, shout back
