View Full Version : Does ANYONE know a good CAI for the 2.4?

Hey guys, I have the 2.4 TwinCam. I'd really like to get a GOOD COLD AIR INTAKE kit for my 97 Grand Am GT, but I'd really like it to be either silver, or black. I hate all this ghetto crap you see in the catalogs. The last thing I want is a rainbow of colors in my engine compartment.
Anyway, I'd like something that will allow me to hook it up DIRECTLY to the throttle body (I need a 90 degree elbow piece).
Or, does anyone know where I can buy individual piping so I can build my own?

use that setup and try to get some custom piping made into the fender well. I used RV sewer drain hose, but it is kind of ghetto...

just use the one on ebay, you'll be happy with it, i am, and im very picky... dont need to extend it out of the bay at all... the filter winds up no where near the engine

Yeah, but It is a little bit better to have it out of the engine bay. it helps the high end alot, but loses a little bit of low end which the 2.4 has a lot if you open it up a little. however, mine is in the engine bay right now because of rain.
