I ordered the 75/35 optima battery online and they sent me the R34/800R which is actually a better battery, with 80 more CCAs.

The only problem is it says its terminal is a "Top SAE auto post" as opposed to the "Dual - Top & GM Side" terminal. Is it still usable?

Also, the battery is a little bit bigger.. Its 10.0/6.9/7.8(L/W/H) instead of the 75/35's 9.1/7.1/7.7 (L/W/H).

Anyone got any advice on this? Can I still use it or do I need to send it back?

(Oh yeah, I can't test it out to see if it'll fit as my car is at the body shop getting the bumper and deck-lid repainted because they scratched it up putting on my spoiler)

I think that adapters are availabe to change the GM terminals in your car to the top post style. Check a local auto parts store. Just keep in mind that you have doulbed the number of connections you need to keep clean. As for clearance issues, I would suggest closing the hood slowly the first time after installing it! :)

I think so. The height and width aren't much of a problem but it's already pretty tight as far as lenght goes.

Have fun...
