View Full Version : which Jack?
I was wondering if any of you use a regular floor jack to jack you car up. It does not look like there is enough room to use one so I have been using the jack that came with the car that is in the trunk. If you use a floor jack where do you put the jack stands at and where do you jack it up? Thanks guys

I have a 3-ton Craftsman floor jack that just barely fits under the car when it is all the way down. I usually jack it up in the front using the frame area near where the spring/strut assembly bolts up. For the rear, I use the same area.

there is a cross member that crosses across the car, both front and back.. I use that, good place for the stands too.

I have a 2.5 ton floor jack, but now that i'm lowered about 2" I have to get an aluminum quick pump racing jack. It's a little slimmer so it would fit under the car & it only takes 2 or 3 pumps & it's all the way up.
Right now I have to lift up on the front bumper to get the jack to slide under the front crossmember.

We have 2 of the carquest jacks that are wide and if i remember they were 150 a piece. I go from behind the tire by the rocker and then jack up each side.
edit: pink outlined spot is what im trying to say
Thanks guys!!!!!! This really helps
