View Full Version : Headlight Aimers

A friend came over to my house and wanted to change his headlight. He got a driver and started loosening screws. He hadn't read the directions and he was loosening the aimer screws. I read the directions, and got the light out. When we got the light back in, the screws wouldn't tighten. Anybody know how to get this to tighten back up?
If it's a 99 up GA , you don't need to loosen any screws to get the headlight out . There are two speed clips you lift , and the light comes out Check this thread for more info > .http://www.grandamgt.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6680

I figured that out when I read the directions, but my friend already had the aiming screws loosened. Now we can't get them to tighten back up.

they shouldn't really get tight. you just turn them until your headlights are level again

If the aimers aren't working, then they're stripped, and the only way to solve that problem is to get new headlights. There is no way to replace them without buying a new housing. Gotta love GM huh?
