i just got a cai and i am defiently worried about gettin water in it and seizing the engine. i heard about a water trap that you could put in the intake and it traps all the moisture that goes in the intake. Is there such thing and where can i but it? Someone show a pic if possible. thanx

You shouldnt have any problems with water getting into the intake.
BTW is this the water trap your were talking about?

to get water into the engine u would have to floor it through a 2ft puddle and i dont see that happening to many people. i wouldnt worry about it.
i live in chicago, deal with the nastiest crap around and i have had no problems except recleaning my filter ever 6 months or so.

how much is one of those bypass valves? can never be too careful

Another option is to put on a K&N filter wrap around the air filter. My friend had one of those on his quad and had it soaked, coated with wet mud, and pretty much anything else you can imagine. No water ever got to the engine on that.
