Quick question: What type of grease should you use to lube the caliper slide bolts when doing a brake job? Will any high temperature grease do?

I just use Anti-sieze....
I believe the stuff the official GM manual says to use is actually discontinued and the dealer said they use anti-sieze too.
I have the manual from GM (OMG the mistakes in there.... long story short, stripped 3 calipers following the torque specs for the banjo bolt. good thing about warantee.)

My manual says to use silicone lubricant. The tube is rubber so it makes sense to me.
You can also use the silicone on all rubber gaskets and to waterproof wiring connectors. I have even put it on the windshield. It works like rain-x but you have to rub like hell to get all the haze off. Don't plan on driving at night for a while.

High temp silicone based grease. Go to a car parts store and tell them you want grease for brake caliper sliders. They should hook you up with the right stuff.
