i want to start a new car club it will probably be mainly composed of grand ams and the like but we can still have the GACOW and my club DD -Domestic Disturbance just domestics and NO **** i have a logo made up just trying to get ppl that will join it come next year!

Does your Grand Am have to be show quality or have lots of mods done or something? I've just got a regular 94 Grand AmGT, nothing done to it except for a k&n filter & yah definately not show quality, nice enough paint job, chips in some areas. but yah any special 'qualifications' needed?

I just wanted to know some people with the same cars so i'd have people to ask questions to when my car did something weird.

yeah, i just got a killer job, and it pays super well, as you can tell. im leasing both, and hopefully buying out the ga at the end. im getting a sweet deal though. probably looking into supercharging the ga in the spring. as of now, im just trying to go for the all black look. (emblems decals rims) it will look sweet. watch for me in town. maybe we hook up somewhere. no body kits though. im not ****.

i dont know of any names really, i dont really like the fact of having GACOW on my car. although it is a good name, anyone not inthe know will be like, what the hell??!! here are a few i thought of, some better than others:
1)Manitoba's Extreme Grand Ams (MEGA) maybe w/ the pontiac arrow underneath it, *MEGA Racing*
2)Grand Ams of Winnipeg Ltd. (GAWL)
3)Racing 'Ams of Manitoba (RAM) *RAM Racing*
4)Radical Pontiacs of Manitoba (RPM) *RPM Racing* *Club RPM*
5)Grand Ams Extreme Team (GREAT)
6)Grand Am Club. *GA Club*
7)Team Grand Am *Team GA*

i like 1, 3, and 4. Club RPM sounds the best, but RAM Racing is good too. tell me what you think.

waffler..what do you think of those names i threw out there, i like club rpm. let me know. i dont mind dd, but i think we could probably get one that suits our cars a bit more. if you want to use domestic in the name how bout: DRI racing. "domestics rule imports". something dumb like that, sounds cool, but slams imports. only problem is i wouldnt mind my type s in there too, but i figure that way out of the question. although it can put up a fight against any pontiac, no bs.

Yeah I have it designed and installed. Well its half way done . the other half I will do this spring, I need to buy aluminum sheets so I can turn them into a new airbox. I also have to line it with heat resistant material.

well, guys.
i got some really bad news. 2 days ago my beautiful GT1 got in an accident, and it doesnt look like its gonna be fixable. some idiot took the side/front of my car off on portage/kenaston, at the merge. i was merging, at like 3 am, he was in the far lane, so i pulled on. as i pulled on, he switched over two lanes, and took my side off, and put me into the bridge concrete wall. 968 km on the car. good thing GMAC covers value of car for first 6 mos. well, today i went into regent pontiac, and put down some money on a 03 GT1, black/charcoal, exactly the same car as my old one, but guess what. its got the sc/t hood and spoiler. looks so sweet. im lookin at acquiring it in the next few days. Cant believe, it was meant to be. ah well ill keep you posted.

no *** kit! j/k. im super pumped about the sc/t goodies. only ended up costing me like 13 bucks more a month. so im happy about it. i went through a different dealer the second time around, the guys at regent west pontiac are alot better than pointe west. ah well. ill let you know what happened re: autopac, but im pretty much not responsible, now its up to gmac. they took the brunt cause of the 6 month drive away value, or something like that. anyways should be no trouble and im covered completely. Superchagers still in the works, so my GA can beat my RSX. hehe. Domestic Power.

has anyone painted the interior pieces in their car?? i want to, but i want to know what kinda paint to use. i dont want that super dull cheap look. i want to go charcoal/blk with the wet look. match the outside, you know. not all peices, but around shift boot, door handles, window switches etc.

Waffler if you are talking about a 5 speed convertion it is not possible as yet. And no one has the the 4T65E tranny swap yet we know that it is possible becasue GM had been docking the 3400 and the 4T65E in all of the SC/T's. But as to the cost i think it would be well over 3000 dollers.

yes, me and jagey have painted pieces, maybe other guys, i dont know..... it's easy..... Jag used model paint, i used 2 coats of sprat paint, and a final clear coat..... looks good.

what colors did you use/ did they match your car??

just regular spray paint??

I used red model paint and it came out as a smooth, shiny, glossy finish. I have the steering wheel detailed, the A/C vent rings, and the defroster vents. The finish is just like the outside of a car, like you want to have done, seeing as though modellers use model paint so their model cars look like the real thing:D Much MORE to come in the spring, that's for sure.

i used regulard white paint. it's not exactly the same white as the G.A, but who cares, it's a lot more "white" then the cars paint. still looks nice though! i may be doing more.

I used lacquer paints - primer, basecoat, clearcoat, and 2-toned around most parts - dark charcoal metallic with quartz silver metallic accents. Recently, though, I've been playing around with Createx AutoAir acrylic enamels. They have a really cool color selection, with lots of pearls, iridescents and interference colors. I think I'm gonna redo my interior parts with Createx. I wanna go for a 2-tone look again, black anodized with aluminum accents, and I'm gonna top-coat it with probably Dupont urethane enamel clear.

Failing that though, I have an account at Rondex, so I'll get them to mix me some colors.

Hey all,

Is there anything required to get into the car club, I just bought a new '03 GAGT coupe and want to mingle and look at the various mods to the car. I unfortunalty can't do much for mods due to my car being on a lease :(. Does anyone know what can be done that won't get me killed at the end of my lease term?

magnum - u dont need to mod the car to hang out, just gotta care about it and not just "driving device from A to B"..
the stuff u can do to lease cars are basicly anything thats removeable when u take it back (or in for warranty work).
like air filter, CAI, that stuff.. no painting interior, new paint job, P&P heads, that kinda stuff.. they want it back the way they gave it to you
