Hi all,
now at 35,000miles, my dealer recommended I get a combustion service done ($130) before car runs out of warranty.
He says it is usually recommended at their 30,000 miles service

Sounds liek a good idea but I am really wondering if it is REALLY needed?
Anyone had the combustion service done? Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

CC service is definitly a good thing to get completed. This being said, the dealer will try this on everyone and they do not complete the service properly. When CC cleaner is put in the throttle body the car should be turned off and left alone for hours. Give the cleaner a chance to "work its magic". The longer it sits in the unit the better the result will be. Pop two cans off CC in your GA, let it sit for 3 hours and start it up. Everyone will think your car is fu*ked because it will smoke like a bitch. LOL. I am going to drop two cans of cc in my car when the snow goes. The dealer charges you 130 for an 8 dollar can of cleaner which takes about 5 minutes to apply, you do the math.

Best of luck
