I seem to be getting a coolent smell in the car. I know that I have a lower intake gasket leak. Could my heater dore be going too? I also have the 1 and 2 selections on my heat/ac controls are out.
Need help on the coolent smell.

Probably just the LIM. That would be my guess as it is another symptom of the leak.
I am sure you already know about the blower resistor. Have fun being on your back installing that biotch.

If you have an external leak, it will burn and evaporate on the hot engine block. The HVAC system then sucks in those vapours/smells (intake is at bottom of windsheild) and you get them in the vents.
The fan speeds are gone because the blower motor resistor is defective. The part is about $20, do a search to replace it yourself. I posted these instrctions awhile ago.

I agree with all of the above. Plus if it was your heater core going, you winshield would become all steamy and greasy feeling from the coolant.
