I just got this business card in my hand by a follow car person. It seems that this person is tired of getting wripped off, his goal is to have the lowest prices in Atlantic Canada. And its for all cars, not only imports. It also says on the card, For all your aftermaket part needs: Import, Domestic, 4x4 and SUV.
A friend of mine priced some wheels, it was 275 $ each at regular price from some shops in Halifax, 240$ for the Discount Place in Dartmouth and 145$ each at this place. It seems that there is such a markup on rims and other performance parts that he can sell it a really low cost and he is still making money. They are located on the road that follows the highway from Truro to Brokfield, an old barn I think, but he says that he will fix it up if it picks up. Only been in business for about 1 month now. It seems that the story is, there is someone who he and another helped to take car off, a friend, that person won the 6/49 and to say thank you, gave both of them some money. I think it came to a few million dollars, so he says that he is not hurting for money.
