Hey, i have a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am Quad Overhead Cam motor. I have been working on taking stuff off to get to the head(blew a headgasket). Im now down to the power steering pump/reservoir and throttle cable. Ive taken the shroud screws out and now i cant figure out how the damned throttle cable disconnects.

Thanks,

Matt

At the end of the throttle cable, there is a round barrel like object. The bracket that it is in has a slit in it. Slip the cable thru the slit to free the cable.

TenSpeed, thanks a bunch for the quick reply. I had been thinking thats what to do, but i couldnt get a good hand on it and was muscling some stuff around and was afraid of breaking it lol. Thanks man,
