Just go to a tire shop and tell them what you expect in your tires and they will tell ya what would be good.

I just got on Monday, put on for the summer :) :
Bridgestone Potenza RE950 (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+RE950) in the stock size 225/50/16" H-speed rated (SE's are only S-speed rated stock; but you can also get these tires in V-speed rated for your GT's)
(just don't use this tire in the winter; not recommended in snow, even though it is a 'all-season' M+S rated tire)
For the winter I have in the stock size on steel wheels:
Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22 H-speed rated winter performance tires (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Blizzak+LM-22)
I got both sets of my tires from Mississauga Tire Centre (good pricing on Bridgestone tires, they are an authorized wholesaler dealer)
MTC Tire Group (http://www.mtctire.com)

I ran the Bridgestone RE950 on my Grand Am, awesome tire. Great in wet or dry conditions. They will be going on my wifes Grand Am when she needs tires, and my GTP when I finish burning off the RSA's.
