when i do a front brake job, what kinda of lube do i need for behind the pads(where they are against the piston) and what kinda lube do i use for the caliper sliders?

also can i tighen the calipers by hand or do i have to use an air wrench?

I have a 2003 gt with 37,000km on it so i think everything should come off easy

thx in advance for the help

I think any high temp grease will do,but you can go to AutoZone and they will give you exactly what you need.
I tightened mine by hand(rachet(sp?)& socket).

Caliper sliders get silicone lube since it slips into a rubber lined hole. Regular grease will work too but it may eat at the rubber over time.

The stuff you want to put on the back of your pads is called Squeel Silencer. It's blue goopy stuff that comes in a tube. It works great.
