Guys does anyone have any info on adjusting the park brake on a GA? My brake pulls up to a 90 degree angle and the car will still move. Any thoughts or advice would be gratly appricated
Thanks again

The GM service manual says to just fully apply the parking brake about half a dozen times and it should adjust... (its self adjusting). I did it and it tightened mine up a bit.

you can try going into the e-brake system and tightening the star wheel using a screw driver....
I did that on mine cause it wasn't doing it itself.
if it's not that then it's farthur up the line.

Where is this star wheel located? I'll give it a try if I new were the star wheel was.

when u take off the brake drum theres a star wheel in there which if you look at it is linked to how far the shoes are deployed.
I set it so the shoe still turns, but the pad is barely letting go.
don';t have any pressure on the pads cause that'll A slow u down and B make it head up when you're driving.

Does anyone have any more information on this... I tried the "self adjusting" trick without success and I do not know how to access the star adjustment.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Losmir.
