Long story short, my dog ate the grey button on my parking brake and broke it off. If anyone knows what I would need to fix this, button only or entire park brake assembly, i would appreciate it.

We were about to leave, car was running, had to go back into the house to get something, got into a conversation with my brother....5 mins later i come out to find my dog in the backseat and no button. Any ideas on what one goes for or where it could be had.

Gm parts department or gmpartsdirect.com (for cheaper) if you can get the part number.

let that be a lesson, it could have been worse you could have came out and found your car GONE because some thief stole it with the keys in the ignition and the car running with the door wide open.

geez, im surprised no ones thought of this or posted it yet;

just take a spin down to the local wreckers.. that part aughtta be under 5 bucks, when taken off of a wrecked car ;)

.. and that way, you dont need a part number, you need the 'shift button thingy'.. haha.

cheers

Well, if your dog ate it.... What goes in, must come out. lol Wait around for 8-10 hours and see what happens.... On second thought, wreckers might be your best bet.

So, is ther any secret to getting the handle off. I tried for a little while and not a damn thing. wd40, grease gun, crisco...what did you use to pull it off?

Yeah, your lucky your dog didnt decide to joyride without even a learners permit. I guess his fat paws coulnt reach the pedals anyway.
