There is an excellent kit, aka PIC Racing Turbo Kit. More information can be found at gmpowertalk.com. Do a search, thats where it has been set up.

nope, they have one for the 2.4 its on backorder for like 6 months altought the claimed numbers are low for the amount of money, and it probably would require a little modification since it was designed for cavy/sunfires with a pcm reflash.

Not to go all Ricey on the topic, but didn't Jackson Racing have a SC kit for the 2.4L ? Perhaps not, but I thought I saw that in an edition of Turbo once.....

only kits i'm aware of for the 2.4 is the

Chassis craft turbo kit http://dragevolution2200.com
PICracing turbo kit
Gm supercharger kit (like the baby version of the 3.4 super)
RSM supercharger kit (Vortech super in use)

Hmmm, well, thanks for educating me! I thought the gm one was just for our lil 2.2 friends...

GM does have one for the 2.4...adds 40hp. I don't know what the cost is, but while some may complain it doesn't add "that much" power, consider that it comes with a 1/12 warranty and will NOT void your factory warranty.

Show me an aftermarket blower that will do that :D

show me a gm blower that'd put my hp numbers to that of a superchargerd 3.4...

you just gotta sacrifice a few things if you wanna play hardcore w/ the big boys... and man I'm more than willing to sacrifice my motor's warranty to be able to play w/ the big boys and be the new kid on the boost.. :)

oh i agree with you on willing to void warrenty. i wanna be able to run with the big boys. i just need to know were to start cuz i wanna get more respect for the 2.4's out there.

here's my plan for power. venom intake manifold, big bore throttle body, 3 inch exhaust, big ass cat, big ass downpipe, hardcore clutch, lightened flywheel, somehow find LSD, a customized version of PICracing turbo kit running at 8lbs for the time being, rebuilt head, pistons and rods put in being able to handle 20lbs of boost, and of course the fuel system being beefed up, radiator replaced w/ a fluidyne unit...

well that's the big long term deal anyway...

short term... turbo, venom manifold, and my ehxuast being done up.. :) ;)

now that's what i'm talking about a some one who knows what they want. that's going to be one sweet ride when it's all said and done probably be able to run with spaz after that.

SpyhunteR

yeah spaz better watch out... he's got a silent stalker in his exhaust fumes waiting to unleash itself... Just a side note.. I'm waiting on a new intank fuel pump and i put down a lil cash on venom's intake manifold.. so yeh.. somethings getting done over here... not all talk really.. :)

intank fuel pump is gonna be hardcore .. ill get some stats on it later..

there is also the Vizzion Turbo Kit. it uses a T3/4 Hybrid turbo. just as good as PIC's. btw, look into this month's Super Street and there you will see how to install the Vizzion kit. i saw the mag at Hasting's earlier today and just took a glance of the procedure. it really doesnt look too hard.

SPY, our cars should already be LSD.. At least my Alero is. Every time is a two wheel spin. (straight launch)

SpyhunteR
10-08-2002, 11:27 PM
I can pretty much guarantee you no LSD, that's kinda hardcore for our cheap lil cars..

i'll figure this out when i get this turbo junk sorted out, than i'll think about all the tranny problems i'm going to have to remedy at once
