I'm hoping this will be a minor fix. Several weeks ago, I heard the turn signal clicking, but I hadn't flipped the turn signal arm. I was just driving along, and I started hearing clicking. I even stopped the car to get out and check to see if the turn signals were flashing, but they weren't. Is this something that I can fix for myself, or do I need to take it to someone?

Could be a faulty signal lever.

It is a problem with the hazzard unit I believe. Call your local dealership because there was a recall on that.

there is a recall for the 2000's I know about the turn signal. It took all day so plan to be without your car for the day. But i know they put in a new clicker thingie, cause it sounds diffrent and they also put in a new hazard switch.

Yes. GM will replace two units, the hazard relay switch behind the hazard light and the turn switch on the steering column.

I should say that when I called GM, they said there is no recall on mine and it is a 2000. I have never had this problem but don't know why my car would be excluded from this. I bought it in '01.

when did you call GM, I just took mine in last month for the recall. It might be diffrent on the SE package too. I have a GT Coupe and got a recall letter in the mail.

Is this the right one???

Edit: Yea.. just read the summary. Although that claims they only replace the hazard switch. What about the turn signal lever in the steering column? do they replace that too? (I heard that is usually the cause too)
