Guys my car bogs down and does not change gears correctly. The dealer has told me that my catalytic converter is f*cked! I am 6000 kms over the emissions warrenty and they would not do anything. If I cut the cat and clean the **** out, will mt engine light come on? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Well, i think itd be more worth it just buying a new cat, instead of cutting it up, etc. Unless your set on that project. You can get a new carsound(magnaflow) hi-flow cat for round $50 dollars new on ebay

What size or series cat would I need? I'm pretty sure the cat goes right up to the manifold on a GA.

just go to an exhaust shop, not the dealer and tell them what you want. If all you want is a factory replacement tell them that. If you want a hig flow performance style one tell them that and then get your whole exhaust done too then. I wouldnt expect it to be over 80 out the door for the cat replacement.

Good luck not getting it to throw a code even after replacing it. Your best bet is to buy a Dynomax replacement for $50 and then an O2 simulator to replace the rear sensor if you throw a code.
