View Full Version : Is an injector flush worth it?

I am coming up on 28,000 miles on my car, and I have a coupon from my dealer for a $99.00 fuel injector flush. The car has had nothing but chevron gas put it in since I bought it. Is it worth having the flush?

Yes, yo still get a good bit of crap build up in them.

No, the filter catches the crap.
So which one do you go with? I think that the flush might be needed if you had poor mile per gallon or engine operation problems. Who's idea was it to flush your injectors? Yours or the guy who wants your $100.

The dealer sent a coupon for the injector flush. It said something about it being recommended every 36000 miles or so. I put a can of B12 Chemtool in the gas every 3000-6000 miles or so as it is, so why would I need an injector flush? I have been using B12 for a long time now, on every car I owned, and never had a problem.
The car is running fine, no loss in mpg or power.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. I've had injectors flushed twice now but they were clogged and causing misfires.
