Hey guys I will be getting 2 front tires from the dealer next week because of problems I was having with my old ones courtesy of GM, but I was wondering if I only have them on there for 1000 miles then I go to rotate them will that mess up anything with the tires or not being that the brand new tires will be rotated only after a short period of time? Oh and the service guy working on my car said something about how the back ones had flat spots or something from not really being rotated but my second question is if I put the back ones on the front and then do a burnout or peel out a few times will that smooth them out?

Unfortunately, no. About all you can do is to slow the wear by being faithful on your rotation. If the flat-spotting is really severe, some tire shops have a "shaver", but most don't anymore.

Ok listen, I work at belle tire so I kinda know some things about tires.... first of all put your new tires on your front no matter what. Doing burnouts will not make your tires rounder, so don't do that. And tires that have 1000 miles on them are practically brand new. Usually you wanna get a rotation every 6000 miles. Oh yeah one more thing all you guys that really don't know too much about tires and wheels, have your tires balanced with tape weights. Instead of having those weights on your rims, the tape weights are inside the wheel so you can't see them. Not only will it look better, but it will also keep your rims from having permanant damage where the weights used to be. The weights that come from the factory on your rims only do more damage on your rims. Not hard to figure out... . hope that helped:thumbs:

Thanx guys for the reply my biggest thing is I want to get the tires I have on the back of the car to the front because I want them to make the same scraping noise the ones on the front are making before the warranty runs out because I dont want them to start scrapping right after the warranty runs out and then be stuck with a 200 dollar tire bill. I just wish they would replace all 4 tires at once so I don't have to deal with this problem again. Oh and I don't think the flat spots I have on the tire are that bad I studied both tires for like 10 min. today and they seemed really smooth. Although the dealer does claim they do have the flat spots.
