Sorry if this double posts...technical issues...anyway

Again, I have had this problem for two winters now, when the weather is 40 degrees and below, I get a high pitched screeching/whistling noise from the air vents at speeds of 50-60 mph and above.

The dealer (not a Pontiac dealer) that I purchased it from said it is the blend door not closing properly, and I would have to take it to a Pontiac dealer, they might have to take the entire dash assembly apart to fix it.

My question is, anyone else experience this problem, and if so, how much/how long did it take to fix?? Or is there a simpler solution??

To replace the actuator, it states you need to remove the entire upper dash piece and garnish moldings, etc.... To replace the blend door/defrost door, etc. you need to disconnect the AC lines, remove the HVAC module, blah blah blah... neither looks like a cheap job if done at the dealership.
