Most of us really like the look of having the amber part of our headlights blocked off with vinyl, but I didn't feel like cutting vinyl and applying it, so I painted it, and you can too!
Here's what you'll need:
Masking tape
Newspaper
razor (optional)
Spray Paint (exterior)
Clear coat (optional)
Take out your headlights, and take off the rubber surround. Clean off the headlight pretty good, and grab the masking tape. Now, you can either tape the outline you want, or just tape straight, and use a razor to cut the shape. Tape the newspaper over the remaining part of the headlight so that no paint gets on it. Paint the amber part with plenty of coats so that you can't see the amber at all. Now, you can add a clear coat if you want, but i dont suppose its required. After the paint dries a little, pull off the tape (CAREFULLY!!!) and re-apply the rubber surround, install into your car, and you're done! I just used some interior/exterior black paint that i found at walmart for like $3, which worked great. Its waterproof, and won't come off. Here's a pic for you to see the results. Sorry, but I had to take the pic in the garage, lol. I'll try to get a better one soon.
