is this a cf hood with scoops? and its functional right? anyone have one of these that is cf?

Yep, cf replica of the GM hood...probably not functional. I don't think anyone has made the airbox to make these functional yet.

It's not actually a carbon fiber hood. It's just a fiberglass hood with a couple strips of carbon fiber laid on the top between and in front of the scoops, just for looks. I called and asked.
so pretty much what you see black in that pic is the only part of the hood that will be carbon fiber?

yeah i called Rk... they will add the carbon fiber strips to the hood for $200....... haha yeah ok, i can make that shiz for less than that.. hoods already almost $600 alone

Thats a good question. I read the discription of the hood and I would be under the impression that it would be ALL carbon fiber. But if its only the back area that is carbon, then to me it shouldnt be called a carbon fiber hood.

If the hoods almost 600, anyone with a brain could figure out to save a few more bucks and get one from GM. At least you know you will not have a fit problem.

thats cool.... yeah the hoods just a regular fiberglass ram air... and for $200 you get the carbon strips to put on.. not sure if they stick or what, didnt care to ask after hearing the price..... ill get some updated pics of my car soon hopefully, gotta swipe my friends camera again

I hear ya. I wanted one for a while. I had to change the fender so I spent the money and get the hood at the same time. Ill be painting it this weeked once I take it all apart again.
