How fast is GMPartsDirect.com?

I am about to order a blower resistor, and would like to put it in this weekend, but under the FAQ's on their site, they say parts ship out on average within 7-10 business days. I assume by their wording that this does not include how long it takes the shipping company to get the part to you. That's crazy.

I'd rather pay $6 more at the dealer (they want $26.27 for the part) or $4 more from a guy on Ebay who would ship priority.


Are they really that slow?

From my experience, they aren't a central store, the parts will ship from a dealer somewhere in the county. IMO paying ~5-10 bucks more at the dealer is worth it, for convenience, and not paying shipping charges...

I ordered my twin post mirrors through them and they came really fast. It was only $94 for two mirrors and that included shipping sure beats going to the dealer and paying $64 each for one mirror. I also ordered the Pontiac floormats through them and they came in pretty fast also :)
