What exactly do they do or what are they? All I have is a Flowmaster muffler on my car looking for some good tips but not sure if I should get them with or w/o resonators. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Resonator is a long tube lookin thing just after your cat. It just restricts flow and keeps the noise down.

Resonated tips........getem if ya likem.

the resonator is useless on the 99+ grand ams - ditch it.

Tips do nothin for sound or performance. Its an appearance mod only.

If your talkin about the actuall exhuast resignator, ditch it.

Do not get stainless. Dont waiste your money. No one is ever gonna look under your car......trust me.

I havent noticed such a thing with resignated tips. What ive noticed is tips dont change a thing about exhuast note or deepness or anything. Just my experience.

Try some megs or some of those long large diameter redneck truck tips, they can make a difference.

The stainless was for the tips, not the resonator. Chrome tips rust pretty quickly.

If it is stainless steel that is chromed it will not rust.
