caspers cooling fan mod?

Can someone explain the basic principle behind the cooling fan mod? I know it gives you control over the cooling fans I'm more interested in how it works electrically. I'm trying to read up a little on electronics and attempt this mod on my car. If someone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. I have the schematics for my car just have to figure out how to wire it to control the fans myself. Also are there any electronics programs out there I can experiment with before messing something up on my car?

Well.. The relays keep the stock fan power schematics in place when they are closed. When engergized, they directly power the fans. I believe the third relay is mainly to provide status back to the PCM so it doesn't throw an SES (which it will do if the fans come on when they aren't supposed to). bring the schematics this weekend i'll help if you want.
