I am looking to either buy a 97-98 GA GT or a 99-03 GA SE V6. I would like to know the HP and torque specs on both the 97-98 GT and the 99-03 V6

97-98GT are I think 150 or 155 (someone correct this if it is wrong.)
99-03GTs or SEs with V6? 99-03 GTs are 175, the SEs with V6 are 170

I am going to go with the 99-03. I just realized that the 98 GA GT is only a 4 cylinder. I need the 6.

Damascus is right off of 70 about halfway between Breezewood, PA and Baltimore

The 98 GT comes in a V6

Also, why not a 99-03 GT? Not like you are gonn abe saving much money on insurance or the car itself. And GT's will be easier to come buy.

99+ = new body style = look MUCH nicer in my opinion.

I test drove a 97 GT with V6 before before buying my new 02 GT V6. The older sytle looks nice as well, but 99+ is just a better car with a lot of improvements.

I used to own a 98 GAGT... I'd go with the 99+ for sure :)

I dont think I will get the 99+ GT because I dont think I will be able to afford the insurance at 16 1/2.

So you drive a 99 SE right now and you want another one?

Also, insurance shouldn't be too high on a 99 GT. One way to find out is to call the insurance company. Why downplay yourself when you haven't even researched it yet.

I think the 92-98 body style is just nicer, and its more sporty looking because it's smaller (and weighs 300 pounds less). Thats why when I was looking for a new vehicle, I didnt get a GA. :( But, the 3.1 looses HP over the 3300 and 3400. Weird.

If you're looking for HP, the highest late model GA was the 92 2.3 HO with 180 and a 5 speed. They are rare. It was the standard engine in the GT, but it seems every one wanted the 3300. lol I wasnt thinking when I bought my 93. I should have gotten a GT with the HO in it brand new.
