What's up Doc?
I have a prototype "Stage 2" intake for this year and body style. I have taken measurments and made the item, but I need somebody to do a test fit.
Requirements
1) 1994 or 1995 Grand Am with the 3.1L V6 engine w/stock intake setup.
2) Good digital camera and ability to upload pics
3) About an hour or two worth of free time for installation and taking pics
4) Decent knowledge of your vehicle's engine bay (ex. I can't spend time explaining what an IAT sensor is, you have to know this stuff first)
This doesn't necessarily have to be a member of this forum, but I would prefer it.
How it will work
- You PayPal me $40 (just a deposit, I need to make sure I get pics from you!)
- I ship the intake to you.
- You install, take pics BEFORE, DURING, & AFTER installation.
- Make any install notes that you feel are important. I need to know details (ex. needs to curve slightly more, should be an inch shorter, etc.) I don't need a five page essay, but if it doesn't fit, I need to know why.
- Once I have the above info, I cancel the $40 PayPal payment and you keep the intake, completely free.
Post up or PM me if you are interested.

^^ Didn't 92-93 use the 3300?

Correct, the 92-93 had the 3300, and the 94-98 had the 3100. If you want, I can lay my battery in the engine bay and snap some pics for you, and send the CAI back. I also have a PVC pipe layout of a CAI that I was working on. I can send you that this way you can get an idea for the stage 3 bends and length. If your intrested, let me know.

They will be available on the site very soon. I need to make a few minor adjustments so it will fit better.

You don't need to be a sponsor to organize a group buy on the GAOC. If you're setting one up please feel free to post it! :)

I built custom Cold Air Intakes for the 3100 way back in the day, they looked like this & I only ever made 2 prototypes

The stock airbox is a better setup on the 3100, a warm air intake on a naturally aspirated engine is a waste of money "unless you want the cool sound"
Cold air all the way.
*peace

Shorter pipe, BIGGER CONE lol.
Just my opinion.

Shorter pipe, BIGGER CONE = nice warm air intake (your better off with the stock airbox, unless you like the bling bling)
