I have a 97 grand am gt, 3.1, 181,000 miles, runs and drives fine, I get coolant leaking out the left rear pipe. Not a ton of coolant but enough to make it blow white smoke. Idles around 800 when I first start the car sometimes but then holds constant at 600ish after its been running awhile. Head gasket or lower intake manifold?

Head gasket would be my guess.

Yes, I am that guy.
How can I tell which gasket it is?
Also if I fix the problem now without any more driving should the car be fine? Thanks.
