My turn signals started going crazy the other day. I followed the advice given in another post to replace the relay and/or the Hazard switch. I replaced both and the problem didn't go away. Any suggestions? Could it be the turn signal arm.

could you clarify exactly what they are doing?

Thanks for the reply but I figured it out. My combo switch(turn signal/wiper) went bad, so I went to the local junkyard where they let you into the yard with your tools and pull the part yourself. The Pontiac dealer sells it new for $125 and I paid $25 for slightly used.

hey timo
i have the same problem and also replaced the relay and it didn't work...
but i am wondering what is this combo switch you are talking about and where is it located (turn signal/wiper)?
i had read a few posts that said it was probably the multi-function box....
thanks

It' located in the steering column and it houses the turn signal arm and the wiper arm. Very simple to replace. All you need to do is pop the plastic top cover off, only 1 screw(T-20 Torx) and 3 wire harnesses. As i said before, the dealer qouted me $125 new. I got mine out of a wrecked 98 Chevy Malibu for $25. The same part is in the Alero and Intrigue as well. Hope that helps and good luck.
